Review: My goosebumps are getting goosebumps.

For the past few weeks, TPTB of Pretty Little Liars have been hinting that something big would be going down this week between one of the main couples. Well, it all turned out to be just a big tease for an episode with no new reveals and nothing going on underneath. Which, as we learn, is the exact opposite of Jason.

This week in “Picture This,” Aria can’t seem to get Jason out of her mind. Neither can we. And neither can Spencer and Emily as they decide to sneak into his shed to see what he’s been hiding all this time. It isn’t pretty.

(s02e09): Picture This

There are certain elements of creepiness that can be almost thought of as sweet. For instance, watching someone you love sleep. (Yes, I have a soft spot for Edward watching Bella sleep in Twilight.) But when you take pictures of said person (or creepy drawings ala Angel from BtVS’ “Passion”), hang those pictures in your shed, and also do surveillance on someone… Well, that’s another level of creepy. It’s nice to finally learn part of what’s going on with Jason.

But overall this episode was a letdown. Despite all the promotion given to it as an important Ezra and Aria episode, all we got were two teasing dreams with no other purpose than to pull at everyone’s heartstrings. But I did enjoy Aria and Ezra’s very hot rendezvous in his office, even if it was prompted by Aria trying to assuage her guilt over Jason. Personally, I’m more excited for next week when we see Spencer telling Ezra about Jason, Ezra coming to Aria’s rescue, and most importantly, a real moment between Aria and Ezra that’s been hinted at in some behind the scenes pictures.

And those of you wanting Samara and Emily together? Well, you’ll be unhappy to know the actress was just cast on Vampire Diaries. It’s unclear what this’ll mean for the possible couple, especially after their fallout this week.

But in the end, this week turned out to be Hanna and Caleb’s big episode as they declared their love for each other, right before Caleb moved to California to be with his mother. Mostly, I just want to know, is no couple safe on this show? It’s starting to get ridiculous. Maybe at least now, Hanna will be on the way to repairing her own crappy relationship with her father.

And what’s up with Aria’s brother, Mike? Does he really have depression as their father suggested? And what does that really have to do with his klepto habit?
