Two from ‘Frozen’ Join ‘Once Upon a Time’

Two characters from Disney’s animated hit Frozen have joined Once Upon a Time for the upcoming fourth season. Relative newcomer Elizabeth Lail will play Anna, Queen Elsa of Arendelle’s younger sister, and Greek actor Scott Michael Foster is set to recur as Anna’s love, Kristoff. ABC’s fairytale drama first hinted the two worlds would collide when Elsa appeared in the closing minutes of May’s season finale. Noticeably, the Ice Queen herself remains uncast. [TVLine]

FOX Cancels Egyptian Series ‘Hieroglyph’ Ahead of Premiere

Fox has decided not to move forward with midseason series Hieroglyph ahead of its premiere this spring. The fantasy drama set in Ancient Egypt was given a 13-episode straight to series order last fall, but ultimately scripts beyond the already filmed pilot did not meet the expectations of executives at the network. FOX, for its part, is currently in a state of flux leadership-wise with the departure of development and programming chief Kevin Reilly in June. No successor has been named yet. [EW]
