‘Sherlock’ Returning for Special in 2015

221B Baker Street will soon be occupied once again. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are scheduled to begin filming a new Sherlock special in January 2015, followed by a fourth season of three episodes later in the year. Presumably, the special will not air on BBC One until around Christmas 2015, as Freeman recently suggested to The Telegraph, with the new season expected sometime in 2016. [BBC]

‘The Killing’ Season 4 Trailer: Linden and Holder Are Divided

Linden and Holder return in the first trailer for the fourth and final season of The Killing, only this time around there’ll be more than just a mystery to solve. Netflix’s crime drama continues where the previous season left off, with the detectives assigned to a new case: the massacre of a picture-perfect family, minus their son Kyle (Tyler Ross) who survived a gunshot to the head. Joan Allen guest stars as Col. Margaret Rayne, headmaster of the all-boys military academy Kyle attends. All six episodes will be available August 1st. [YouTube]

‘The Lottery’ First Trailer: Lifetime Debuts Haunting New Drama

Lifetime is looking to reinvent itself with its first science fiction series. Set in 2025, the first trailer for The Lottery asks what would mankind do if women stopped having children and there were only 100 embryos left on Earth. ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Alum James Callis Joins El Rey’s ‘Matador’

James Callis won’t be weak anymore. The Battlestar Galactica actor who played Gaius Baltar for four seasons is recurring this summer on El Rey’s new series Matador. As Lucien Sayer, a mysterious figure who commands a fraternity of the world’s most elite businessmen, politicians and influencers, he’ll work with Andrés Galan (Alfred Molina) to expand his illegal global enterprise. Meanwhile, professional soccer player by day and CIA operative by night, Tony “Matador” Bravo (Gabriel Luna) must uncover Sayer’s ultimate goal to complete his secret mission.
