Mission Impossible Rogue Nation Trailer

IMF agent Ethan Hunt has met his match in the first trailer for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames return for the sequel that puts the IMF team up against a highly trained organization of rogue assassins, known as the Syndicate. Rebecca Ferguson joins the cast as Hunt’s mysterious new accomplice. The film directed by Christopher McQuarrie opens in theaters on July 31st. [YouTube]

Jason Katims made a name for himself in TV with broadcast dramas like Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, but next he’ll become the latest showrunner to make the move to digital. Hulu has given a 10-episode order to its first drama series, The Way, about a family at the center of a controversial faith movement. Katims will serve as showrunner on the series from Jessica Goldberg, who previously worked with Katims on Parenthood. [Deadline]

Connie Britton - American Crime Story

Connie Britton is returning to the Ryan Murphy family. The American Horror Story alum and Nashville actress has joined Murphy’s FX miniseries American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson. She’ll play Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and Nicole Brown Simpson’s friend Faye Resnick, whose controversial memoir halted the trial in 1994 when she expressed her belief that O.J. Jack Huston - The Crow

After a month of talks, Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston has officially landed the lead role in Relativity’s The Crow reboot from director Corin Hardy. He’ll take over the part first played by Brandon Lee in the 1994 film, which centers on the character of Eric Draven, who is murdered along with his fiancée by a gang the night before their wedding. One year later, Eric rises from the dead to avenge his love. Production is set to begin later this year. [Deadline]
