Comic-Con, Day Three: Secret Circle, Fringe, Joss Whedon, Snow White, and more!

Comic-Con is now coming to close with only one day left, but in a lot of ways Saturday was the most exciting day of the long event. Fan favorites such as The Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Community, Chuck, Nikita, and Being Human, as well as new shows like The Secret Circle, Grimm, and Terra Nova took center stage as fans waited in some of the longest lines, yet.

And in movies, Snow White and the Huntsmen, Knights of Badassdom, Immortals, and Twixt, had their own share of the Comic-Con action. Plus, the premiere of Universal’s Cowboys & Aliens. (more…)

Comic-Con, Day Two: Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Avengers, and more!

There’s still two more days of Comic-Con left to go, and I’m already exhausted by all the news and goodies we’ve been getting. And I’m not even there, so I can’t imagine what it must be like for all the fans experiencing it in person. Serious overload.

Today were the panels for tv fan favorites such as Torchwood, The Walking Dead, Thundercats, Alphas, and True Blood. And in films, Spiderman, Total Recall, Fright Night, Raven, Haywire, and Ghost Rider 2. (more…)

Comic-Con, Day One: Ringer, The Hunger Games, Prometheus, In Time, and more!

Every summer, around 130,000 fans head to San Diego for the largest convention held in the United States. And originally, the main focus of San Diego Comic-Con was the comic books, but these days they’ve taken a bit of a backseat to tv and movies.

Today was the first official full day of panels, Q&As, and interviews, but the fun has actually already started. Last night, screenings were held for three of the fall’s most anticipated new shows. And the studios have been releasing new trailers and posters for a few days now. It’s definitely Comic-Con time. (more…)

Review: If Ian didn’t kill Ali, did A?

There comes a time for every show, even the most mystery driven among them, when they need to take a step back and focus on the characters. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Just as The Killing this past season had an episode focused on Sarah searching for her missing son Jack, this week the girls of Pretty Little Liars get roped into helping out with the annual charity fashion show. Yet, it’s what happens after the fashion show that has everyone talking. (more…)

Radar Watch: Sherlock costars reunite on Hobbit, Spielberg begins Jurassic Park talks, and more!

It’s been mostly quiet again on the news front, but I’m stopping by to leave a couple of juicy tidbits I heard about this week. First, some exciting casting news for fans of Sherlock and The Hobbit. Then, in true Hollywood fashion, they’re talking about bringing back another one of our childhood favorites to the big screen. Of course, no idea on whether it’ll actually be good or not, but I can still be excited about it, right?

There’s also two new series I think you’ll find interesting that have begun development at Starz and HBO. Plus, two new television shows are premiering this week in the U.S. that I really suggest you don’t miss. (more…)

Radar Watch: Ninja Turtles and Daredevil begin development, Jamie Campbell Bower as lead in Mortal Instruments, and more!

Yeah, I know it’s summer and entertainment news might be a little slower until it kicks back up again in July, but there’s still plenty of juicy movie and television tidbits to talk about.

There’s a few movies with geek cred beginning development, there’s been a few important casting notices, British tv continues to take over the airwaves, and our summer premieres began this past week. It’s pretty frickin’ cold still in Los Angeles, but that doesn’t stop summer from rolling in. Yay, it’s June! (more…)
