Radar Watch: Twilight, The Host, Syfy series, Whedonverse news, Avengers director, and a J. Edgar movie!
I love this part, the part where promotion gears up and we get all kinds of new pretty things. New Twilight: Eclipse stills have been released and can be found here and here. Also, the Twilight novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, which will be available to buy June 5 and online for free on June 7, is now available for preorder from Amazon for $7.69 if you want a hardcopy. Also, I’m very excited to say there’s finally more news on the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel The Host. (Which I’m currently 80% of the way into.) Andrew Niccol (“The Truman Show”, “Gattaca”, and a possible Will Smith movie “The City that Sailed”) is on a third draft of the script and it is expected to be shot in early 2011. Now all I want to know is what happened to his movie The Cross? I was looking forward to that one, too.

Unless you’re Neil Cameron and creating The A-Z of Awesomeness. Then, you might love…something else. Get your mind out of the gutter! Well, not completely out of the gutter.
io9 had an article today about the essence of the “F*@% Yeah” Moment. Basically, the moment where a character’s actions made you say…well, that. There’s some mention of Battlestar Galactica, Firefly and Serenity (River kicks the Reavers’ ass!). But when I’m thinking of F*@% Yeah moments I have to say Buffy in ‘Anne’ or ‘Showtime’. What are your favorite F*@% Yeah moments? Kudo points if you choose a Whedon show. (more…)
