100 Books Meme

I was tagged for this meme in Facebook. But like most things, it’s better done outside of Facebook. And I changed the instructions a bit to make it more efficient for viewing and sharing purposes. Now, if you choose to do the meme you won’t have to take out all the *s and Xs. ;)

And yes, I was an English major. And I have read excerpts and large pieces of most of these. But I’m not marking it as read unless I remember that I’ve read most of it and know what it was about.

The BBC believes most people will have only read 6 of the 100 books here. How do your reading habits stack up?

Instructions:
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Tally your total at the bottom
3) Italicize those you plan on reading

Christmas in Riddles

I’ve been meaning to take pictures of Christmas here in Charleston. But since I haven’t actually gotten around to it, I don’t know if it’ll actually happen. Instead I bring a different kind of holiday cheer and festivity. We had our Christmas party at work today and were treated to two Christmas Song quizzes that I thought were really cute.

Therefore, I’m posting this quiz for public enjoyment and consumption. Feel free to guess and post the answers in the comments. Now, if you’ve already done/seen it before, don’t spoil it for the rest of us. :P

Howdy-do-de

I’ve been toying for a while with what I wanted my first entry at my new blog on my website to be. Actually, this ‘new’ blog is only really half new. I used to have a public blog quite a few years ago. But then I decided to go in a more private blog route. But now I’m back and resurrecting this blog for public purposes. As of right now, I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to be posting on this blog, but I’m sure I can come up with something. At the very least, it’ll be nice to have a public presence again.

So, I’ve decided this first post will be a bit of introduction and a little meme. I was surfing around online and saw this cool Flickr photo meme. I wasn’t tagged for it, but I’m going to pass it on anyway.

The Sixth Photo Meme:

It works like this: if you use Flickr, go to the sixth page of your photostream and pick the sixth picture there, then post it to your blog.

This was taken back in August when I was messing around with my iPhone and taking some pictures of myself for a Daily Self Portrait thing on Flickr. I stopped that idea pretty much immediately once I decided it was just too difficult to take a picture of myself every single day. But this set was the first pictures I’d taken of myself in forever. And it actually started a revival of taking pictures of myself. (I hated pictures of myself.) Since then I’ve done series after series. But yet at the time I had decided doing that daily picture thing was too time consuming. Go figure, huh? Maybe I’ll see if I can get back into it.

I’m now supposed to tag six people. But since this is all new, I have no one to tag. So, feel free to do it if you want.
