Only one week into its unanticipated tenth season and The X-Files is already back on top of the charts. The first episode of its return has logged 21.4 million viewers in Live+3, story which includes video-on-demand, DVR playback, and streaming. And that number should only increase after final Live+7 numbers are announced in a few days. Ratings for the second episode were also huge.

While some have speculated that reboots and spinoffs could be down the line, creator Chris Carter has already put the kibosh on a Mulder and Scully-less X-Files with him at the helm.
